Opening the flood gates and the cell doors...

Open to the infinite...

Take a deep breath,

Let yourself seep into the boundless,

the timeless,

What is beyond now if now is all there is?

Inner alchemy is transmutation of fear to love,
of the timebound to the timeless...

Realizing the complete release of blockages can induce panic if you aren't ready to be vulnerable or freed.

Do you want freedom?

Then come with me...

Step away from your body with your heart out...

So many of us wear our chains like badges of honor, holding them and using them as crutches.

Stepping away from crutches is a terrifying experience when the hobbling world has become
all you know.

Complexity grows exponentially when we step off the path,
with layers upon layers flowing outward in ripples
from those core events that started the issues and problems
we agreed to work through before our incarnation in these physical prisons...

Will the lessons be learned?

Can we be introspective enough to transcend
this beautiful facade we call reality?

What will we transcend to?

Can we even handle the truth and promise of infinity?

See yourself releasing what you think you know,
so you can experience what you feel that you know is real...

Just be.

Elect Love and Peace!

What is really on the election ballot this year?

Is our soul as a country really under this much constant combat that we are lost in the words as we miss the forest for the trees? How can we combat the incessant pull of idiocracy that is marring the image of our system across the world's theater?

What will it take for us to overcome this frightening image of what is to come for our country?  How many more moments of sheer racism and ignorance will we let manifest in our collective consciousness before we finally stand up and say enough is enough?

So what can you do now?  Who are you to be able to make a difference?

How can your voice be heard?  Does the election really matter?  Do we even have a voice?  The answer is yes, we do, and the election does matter, but our voice can only be heard and we can only make a difference if we stand up and stand together in love and peace.

This entire facade of an election process has created more fear, hatred, anger and shame than any of the past elections up until this point.  Just when we think it can't get any worse, it does and we see even more of how fragile this system is and how it is so mismanaged that those in charge most likely shouldn't be.  Yet we don't stand up together with one voice when they have so carefully marginalized our positions and our voices into sound bytes and scripted memes designed to distract us from the truth just behind the curtains...

Love and peace can save us?

How so?  Are you just some wishy-washy hippy?  Well I am, but that is beside the point...

Love is one of the strongest attractors of the present moment of any of the emotions.  This means that it brings you into the present moment simply by focusing on it.  The heart chakra is the center of the plane of existence we call the present moment where the spiritual plane intermingles and blends with the physical world.  That which we hold in our heart center becomes real that much more quickly...

Peace is just as powerful so long as it is realized as its own process, and not the absence of war which reflects its energy out in a negative way as a polarity, which it need not be.  Peace should be seen as gratitude, or joy for simply being and gratefulness for what is in all its forms.

Stepping into an attitude of gratitude and love isn't the easiest process especially with all of the endless barrage of angry memes and perversions of what we call media and the news.  The easiest start to this process is to think of that which you hold most dear, a loved one, a pet, a happy memory that warms your soul when you think of it.  Calling in such an image evokes that joyful, loving feeling that can help you elevate your intentions and elevate your manifestations towards something more.  It will help you to guide your potential reality towards its highest good even in times such as these.

How can we be grateful for such a debacle of our political system?  Let us find the silver lining hiding in this very dark and large storm cloud hanging over our country at the moment.

What did we hope would happen?  Obviously it didn't play out how we liked, so what is the potential good in these developments?  What positivity can come from such horrid defacement of our governmental structure?  Even in the darkest night we can find stars to illumine our path, for light needs darkness to be fully appreciated...

We can let be what is, and send light and love and positive thoughts and energy to those places in the world that need our attention or help so that it can grow and flourish and facilitate new changes in the future.  We can look forward to what may still come in a loving and peaceful world in hopes that we can be catalysts for real change...

Holding our highest good for the universe and higher powers to protect us and keep us away from the negativity and evil that exists knowing that all is as it should be and that all will work out for the betterment of everyone.  Staying with these thought patterns and sending out feelings of gratitude and love for all that is and that all that is will create the highest good for all involved.

Thoughts are energy and have power!

Do not play into the fear and anger surrounding our nation.

Let us "Face Everything And Rise" up as one people, for the future of our world!

Modern mysticism

A shaman is defined as a person who acts as intermediary between the natural and supernatural worlds, using magic to cure illness, foretell the future, control spiritual forces, etc...

In this digital dimension we are divided by space and time by moments expressed through packets of information flowing through the ether in waves of electronic expression. The idea of the shaman is lost in the materialistic nightmare of prepackaged simplified samples of spirituality sold at cost from those willing to release it to the masses.

What are they really feeding us?  How can we know the truth of spirit and dimensional travel with a mine field of misdirection and confused information?

Can one weekend sweat lodge free your soul and reveal the secrets of the metaphysical levels of reality just out of view? Probably not, but who knows...      Anything is possible.

Who are the teachers and how can we trust them?  What gives me or anyone else the authority or right to call ourselves shamen?

What is enlightenment?

How do we know it when we are there?  Can we even know the extent of it?  Would you realize it if you were it right now?

That may be the jumping off point for this discussion.  What is enlightenment?  Spiritual seekers, gurus, and masters of all faiths call this nirvana state the ultimate goal of spirit.  They also tell us we are already there and are at all times.  How can we feel and be in that infinity at all times and not realize it?  What are we missing?  What has blinded us from the shining perfection we are perpetually immersed in?  How can we free ourselves from the shackles inside of our mental caves we have been trapped in?  What is this secret?

Is it the perfection of realizing the connections of our imperfections follow synchronistic and sacred dimensions wrapping us in the infinite now?

Can we be in this enlightened state yet function in this realm?  Saving the masses with our vibration, we seek to move this plane of being further toward the eternal peace lying just beyond the veil of existence.

The modern shaman must be one who can tred this fourth way and be in both worlds, yet not of either...

An old Buddhist saying goes, "Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water."  Finding our peace and still existing and pushing through the mire and difficulties of the world definitely seems like the path least taken.

Disengaging with the world does not free us from it, it only shields our being from that which may help us to express and grow even further from the experience of being in the doldrums of our reality.

Why are adversities powerful and necessary?  Simply because they foster growth at its most raw, unfiltered form.  It pushes us to bend our envelopes of experience to have the most vibrant and most rich depth to our power and magic.  It strengthens our resolve to be pure and impeccable.

Our modern mysticism manifesting miracles with each breath focused to the now...

Let us begin our journey to here...

A "novel" introduction from the book, "The Art of Falling" by Rev. Brien Egan

After the Fall

“Success is a series of glorious defeats.”
-Mahatma Ghandi

Everyone has experienced the sensation of falling, the rush of weightlessness, that odd rush of adrenaline when you don’t know what is going to come next. It’s that sense of xenophobia we all get, the fear of not knowing what is in store for us. Will we be caught? Will we hit the ground? Will we be hurt or for that matter, survive? What will befall us in our descent? Can we find the courage to trust ourselves or others to cushion our fall or to make it less painful, either physically, spiritually, or emotionally?
In what ways do we fall? As a child, scrapping a knee was traumatic, as was being shot down by the pretty girl I had a crush on. When rollerblading as a child, it took me many years and many falls to master the art of falling physically. I had to experience each nuance of the fall, along with the pain accompanying it, to learn to catch myself so that I would not be as injured. A few casts and ER visits down the road and the ability to transfer my weight and glide to the ground instead of slam it, was achieved. But physical falling is definitely not all there is to falling and not the only form of falling I have mastered over the years in the trepidations and trials of my life.
People fall in love, they fall for a gag, they fall asleep at the wheel, both metaphorically and literally. They fall apart, fall from grace, or have a falling out. Some fall in a hole or fall out of sync, while others have everything fall into place. Why do we signify so many things in association with such a difficult experience everyone has felt? What does it mean to really fall?
It means letting go, being in that fear and uncertainty, thriving in it, or writhing in it, sometimes succeeding, sometimes not. It means losing yourself to something, embracing change and flow in the unknown with that sense of freefall. It might mean approaching destiny or defeat, depending on what’s happening and how you look at it. Think of it as a cusp, a climax, a turning point, that last moment before the buzzer, whether beneficial or difficult. Sometimes it is losing your way and having to start all over, or maybe just needing to rekindle that fire deep within your soul. It could be not retaining control of our emotions when interacting with others or losing face in the eyes of those who revere us. Feeling stuck in a situation of trapped or duped by someone could push that sensation of losing our balance with our lives. Being unconscious while living our lives would create a perpetual sense of fearing what is to come.
All of us have these moments in our lives. Some more than other, like myself, choose to fall way more than needed in order to learn the right way to do it and then thrive after it has been experienced. This doesn’t have to be everyone’s path though, as much as I have enjoyed taking the long way to get to my goals, I know that there are far more rapid paths to our goals than I have chosen. The great leaders and masters of all fields of study seem to live by this “road less traveled by” mentality though. It is this art of falling, of losing yourself to something greater, trusting your descent and reveling in the sharp crisp feeling of that brief rush of fear, knowing all will work out as it needs to whether we like it or not. Little has been studied or explored in this phenomenon. We simply dismiss it as ill timing or unfortunate circumstances. Many of the greats have used it to their advantage and capitalized on their failings, faltering, and fumbles to create many masterpieces and discoveries. It is by analyzing the misgivings and those mistakes that we are able to pick up and strive forward to realize our true callings.
Maybe some of us can’t see the stars until we are truly are, in the gutter, to quote Oscar Wilde. Together we will analyze what this gutter is like and see where the stars will take us, because things and events in our lives serve us as ways to grow and improve. We will work to cultivate that mindset in order to see those silver linings everyone talks about or hopes to find. By embracing the fall, we may follow our bliss. By accepting our flaws, we may find our true strength. We will work to bring more consciousness or awareness to our lives so that any descent we make for ourselves will merely be that backing up to get a running start. During these falls we will identify how to gracefully glide to our resting place to begin anew. We will explore the passion and the butterflies of a romance as well as how to keep it fresh and re-ignite the fervor of love as we leap blindly into it. Acknowledging our egos we will learn to let go of their vicious grip on our psyches and their needless control and difficulties they inflict on our lives in the name of self-preservation. We will experience how it can be safe to not always be in control.

“Reading spiritual books is like reading the menu at a restaurant. Don’t forget, you must eat the meal.”
                               -Trunga Rinpoche

Are you ready to master the art of falling?
